• Moving with Intention

My journey of understanding human behavior began in undergrad while studying child development and family studies. During this time, I worked in a daycare and child protective services where I observed the level of need children and families require. I then began working with infants and children up to age 3, facilitating ABA (applied behavior analysis) techniques for children diagnosed with ASD. I continued as an ABA therapist in New York City while working with the elderly population before and during the COVID pandemic. During this time, I worked closely with families and individuals who endured tragic loss and underwent life cycle transitions. Incorporating grounding and breathing techniques to help individuals find acceptance through the uncertainty. Before transitioning to individual psychotherapy, I worked as a school social worker providing support to a diverse level of needs.

My scope of practice shifted when I started working in a child and adolescent behavioral health clinic. Witnessing the value of holding intentional and intimate space for individuals, particularly children and parents, while guiding and teaching skills to improve their emotional awareness. This led me to working in private practice where I have provided support to children, siblings, couples, parents, and families. My success in working with a vast array of needs, or “issues,” comes not only from my education and experience, but from my intuitive abilities to meet a person where they are while providing a calming presence for people to feel seen. Individuals with anxiety, OCD, ASD, ADHD, depression, bipolar disorder, trauma, chronic health issues, and physical impairments, have found more strength and resilience through working with me.

In addition to my clinical education and experience, I have gained tremendous awareness through my own healing journey. Utilizing somatic healing and self-expression. I strive to embody and demonstrate how these powerful tools and techniques can help an individual find presence and peace, even on the hard days. I’ve been a dancer for basically my entire life. I have worked as a dance teacher in several different settings and environments with diverse needs. I have helped individuals gain body connection, awareness, and mindfulness through the therapeutic lens.

My goal in providing support is to help individuals identify, process, and break through self-limiting beliefs that restrict emotional and physical freedom. With skills and support, our thoughts can begin to shift when our body feels understood.

Thanks for being here.
